A Reminder to Join Us Tomorrow!

A LASTING EFFECT
Lessons from Maryland’s Early Educational History

A quick reminder to join us tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st, at 7:00pm at the Inn at Leonardtown for another in our outstanding Historically Speaking series highlighting the political, social, cultural, and economic history of Southern Maryland.

Jennifer Brown, MA, adjunct instructor of Government at Harford Community College and member of Maryland Family Institute Academic Advisory Board, speaks on the development of education and its institutions in early Maryland and its impact down to today.

Ms. Brown will dig into the educational system.  She examines the impact of shifting political/religious environments on education and how Maryland's approach to education compared to neighboring states.  And, she will also discuss how this early period affected the future of schooling in Maryland and why history remains an important element for a sound education.

There is no cost. Reservations are recommend but not required. Click
