Meet Kerry Robinson

Kerry Robinson sits on stage at the Three Notch Theater formerly the Lexington Park Library.

Kerry Robinson was born on January 23, 1955 in Takoma Park, MD. He arrived in St. Mary’s County at the age of 12 and graduated from Chopticon High School. He lived in Lexington Manor two times; off and on between 1975 and 1978 and then again from 1989 until he and his wife were relocated in 2005.

He remembers that most of the tenants were transients, college students, young families, and people on fixed incomes. He spent the most time living in the three-bedroom duplex unit at 2 East Rennell. He worked in theaters around Washington, DC and would frequently commute from the Flat Tops. He spent his evenings biking with his daughter, helping with her homework, and watching TV. He participated in the National Night Out block-parties.

Kerry and his wife were both theater majors who spent lots of time and energy enjoying “playing the Halloween game” until kids stopped coming in the early 2000s. His biggest complaint with the Flat Tops was the lack of proper maintenance; specifically the roof and door to his own unit. He wants people to remember “the marvelous variety of people that lived there.”
